30 Questions With Shannon Tweed

It's hard not to fall in love with Shannon Tweed during an interview. Born in St. John's, Newfoundland, and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, she shot into the spotlight as a beauty pageant queen when she was just 20 years old. (She won talent competitions for her singing.) She's sweet, kind and has a laugh that makes you want to giggle along with her.

Today, the mom of two -- to son, Nicholas, and daughter, Sophie -- keeps busy acting, starring in her new reality TV series Shannon & Sophie on W Network and doing charity work (she supports World VisionChildFundSociety for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) and Make-A-Wish).

In between takes of her new show and hanging with her hubby, Gene, we were able to nab Shannon for a little one-on-one time. Here's what we learned about this one-of-a-kind Wonderwoman.

It started in Cannes. Vancouver-based TV producers Rob Bromley and John Ritchie were at a TV conference cocktail party when they noticed KISS front man Gene Simmons and his Canadian-born Playboy alumna wife Shannon Tweed.

“There was nobody else talking to them; they were kind of sitting off to the side. I always liked their show Family Jewels,” says Mr. Ritchie, executive producer at Force Four Entertainment. “So we just went over and started chatting.”
