Shannon Tweed-Simmons and daughter Sophie Tweed-Simmons Start Filming New Reality Show

Force Four and W Network announce new series featuring Gene Simmons’ wife and daughter

(Vancouver, BC) Force Four Entertainment is excited to kick off production on a new reality series, starring Shannon Tweed-Simmons, Canadian actress, model and wife of KISS frontman Gene Simmons, and their daughter, actress and singer, Sophie Tweed-Simmons, for Corus Entertainment’s W Network. The eight-episode, half-hour series begins shooting in December and is set to air on W Network MAY 20th 2014.

“We are thrilled to be working with W Network and Shannon and Sophie on this series,” said Executive Producer John Ritchie, of Force Four Entertainment.  “They’re a true dynamic duo – outgoing, savvy, enterprising and smart as hell. Their legions of fans will be highly entertained as they rock into the next exciting chapter in their lives.”

Shannon and daughter Sophie are polar opposites – one is a former playmate with a long career in acting and modeling, while the other is a straight-A student who runs a children’s charity in Vancouver. In the new series, the duo will show that despite their differences they remain best friends – and when it comes to what they want, they don’t take no for an answer.

‘’Soph and I have a great relationship and filming together is always such fun, I’m thrilled we’ll now have our own show”, said Shannon. Sophie added, ‘’It’s amazing the friendship my mom and I have. She’s my rock, my best friend and even though we are very different, ultimately we agree on the important things in life. I’m excited to start shooting and give viewers a glimpse into our world.”

A big part of Shannon and Sophie’s new show will be the many celebrities and personalities they will run into during social and business adventures including Rock Legend and Media Mogul, Gene Simmons himself, who will make regular cameo appearances. The series will be shot primarily in Los Angeles, Vancouver and Whistler.

“There is so much to love about this new series – from their mother–daughter dynamic to the unusual and highly entertaining big personalities in the world they live in,” said Vibika Bianchi, VP Original Programming, Women’s and Family Networks, Corus Entertainment. “We’re excited to see Shannon and Sophie open up their lives to W’s audience.”
